Jordan Owen is a fashion, editorial, and fine art photographer based in Brooklyn with large focus on Polaroid and classic studio portraits.

Originally born and raised in Texas, he spent 10+ years working in marketing/strategy consulting for large retail and non-profit clients which brought him to work in NYC at Google. A lifelong love for art was a pivotal reason to relocate to New York, and Jordan immediately felt drawn to photograph the city. He started teaching himself with one digital and one small Polaroid camera, and now shoots every format including: medium format, Polaroid peel-apart film, 4x5, 35mm, 120 film, etc and is also experimenting in print-making techniques such as cyanotypes, acid etching, and paper pulp prints.

His influences include many photographers starting with Sarah Moon, Cathleen Naundorf, Paolo Roversi, Horst P Horst, and many more masters and modern contemporaries, as well as various genres of music, literature, and fine art.

Now Jordan is working as a full-time photographer, published in various print and e-magazines, shooting fashion brand work, as well as having images in several group shows in New York City. Also, he is Program Director for Back To The Lab, a local community non-profit group teaching children and adults about all aspects of photography.
